What's Happening At The Library

Online E-Book and Audiobook Service Changing.

Effective July 1st the former Lewis and Clark Digital Consortium will begin migrating its holdings to the 3M Cloud library available to all Illinois Heartland Library System cardholders. Overdrive will no longer be available after July 1st. Overdrive Titles will gradually become available in 3M Cloud Library over the next 3 to 4 months.  Any requests in Overdrive will be dropped effective July 1, 2016. They will not be transferred to 3M Cloud Library. Please make any new requests in the 3M Cloud Library app for Android, iOS and Windows 7, 8 and 10. If you need assistance, please call the library. Available overdrive items may continue to be checked out but will stop working July 1st.

Non-Resident Fee is changing July 1st.

Effective July 1st the fee for non-resident library cards is $105. The old rate of $90 remains in effect through June 30, 2016.

Free to use in our computer lab. Best of all, kids love it!

Exercise Club - Pilates every Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. There is also a class most Saturdays from 10 to 11a.m. The Saturday type of exercise varies. There is no class on the third Saturday of the month due to the book sale.  Check calendar for actual dates.

Book Sale. The Friends of the library have a book sale on the first Friday and the third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Notary Service. The library has three staff members who are licensed notaries. Service is normally available when the library is open for a $1.00 fee; but please call ahead to ensure one of our notaries will be available when you come.

Library Board Meeting. The library Board of Trustees meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm (unless noted otherwise). The public is encouraged to attend as plans for the future of the library are discussed.

Election Information.  Registrars are normally available at the library Monday through Thursday 9-8, Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-4; except for 27 days prior to any election. To register, a person must show two types of identification: one must have the current address, and one must be a photo I.D. It is also required to use the social security number (at least the last four digits) or the drivers license number.
